okay, first off i'd like to tell you that maintaining a Paintball team is tough work and sometimes very expensive to start but if you are willing to put in the time and have a passion for the sport, anything is possible.
the first question you will have to ask yourself is what type of team am i going to start? will it be a woodsball team or a speedball team? the answer is very easy. which type of paintball do u enjoy more?
Next you will have to group together a bunch of people who are interested in playing for you. they can be your friends, people you met at local fields, pretty much anyone you become friendly with that has some paintball skills. this players are now your responsibility and you have to keep them in line and have command over them. start consistently playing with your group of players and have everyone get to know each other and become friendly with them all. Every player should be friends with each other. this bond will transfer over to the paintball field because players will trust one another with covering their back and much more. So you got the group of players and you all have been playing for a bit of time at your local field, now its time to get serious. Go to your local field owner and ask him/her if they would be interested in sponsoring your team. You have been playing at their field for some time so they will know you and in return you could have some members of your team reff some weekends for free paint and other stuff like that. Just something to help keep the cost down so your team can practice more. One you have a sponsor start looking for more. its easier to find more sponsors when you have one already. The more the merry!! Okay so now you have a group of skilled players and all have sponsors so its time to go to a tourney. Look within a 2 hour drive of you location during the summer for a tourney that your team can attend and represent all of your sponsors. the tourney could be a little pricey but if you do well in it or even show some talent you could have sponsors and players begging to join your squad. you paintball team can hold its own now with sponsors and attending tourneys. the only thing left to do is expand and go to more events and have more sponsors pick up th team tab.
